Bernadette Jacquet
While earning her architecture degree (DESA), Bernadette trained in classical dance with L. Legrand, Y. Casati, and J. Fynnaert, whom she taught at the Paris Centre school and the CCY. After an international career with various companies, film (Tess, Monsieur de Pourceaugnac) and theater (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme) led her to the historical repertoire. To specialize in early dance, she took courses and workshops with B. Gondoni, B. Sparti, G. Giordano, C. Bayle, A. Yepes, C. Gracio Moura, MG. Massé, N. Nguyen, I. Feste, and PF. Dollé. She joined the Compagnie du Roi René for numerous productions, including the Festival d'Anjou. Having become a choreographer and dancer in Bassa Toscana, she leads workshops, dances, conferences and participates in the creation of concerts and shows with several musical ensembles including Obsidienne, La Fenice and La Bellezza. Member of the French Federation of Professional Dancers (PRO.DA)
Stéphane Quéant
Stéphane, a professional dancer, holds a state diploma as a classical dance teacher, having trained under C. Philippeau, W. Byars, J. Fynnaert, C. Tavares, and A.M. Sandrini. International tours have allowed him to dance in Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Under the direction of F. Nault (Les Grands Ballets Canadiens), he performed Carmina Burana on the major stages of Nice and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. His operetta work took him to Dijon for a season and to numerous other French theaters. With the Compagnie du Roi Renée, he participated in the Anjou Festival while simultaneously training in early dance with B. Gondoni, G. Giordano, A. Yepes, N. Nguyen, I. Feste, and P.F. Dollé. In 2001, he and Bernadette Jacquet founded the Compagnie Bassa Toscana (medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque dance). Member of the French Federation of Professional Dancers (PRO.DA)
